Launch of the 2023 Global Multidimensional Poverty Index

Official Side Event to the High-Level Political Forum, hosted by the Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations, in collaboration with the Human Development Report Office (UNDP) and Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI).

The 2023 global Multidimensional Poverty Index publication "Unstacking global poverty: Data for high-impact action" launch event will be hosted by the Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations, in collaboration with the Human Development Report Office (UNDP) and Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI). The event is an official Side Event of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. 

When: 11 July 2023 at 18:30–19:30 ET in Conference Room 3 of the UN Headquarters. The event will also be webcast live via UN WebTV.

The MPI is the internationally comparable index of acute multidimensional poverty for over 100 countries in developing regions. Panelists will discuss how these data can be shared and used alongside other data sources to reduce poverty in all its forms.
