Paola Pagliani manages the human development report network (HDR-Net) and the human development statistics network (HDRStats-Net). Before joining the Human Development Report Office in February 2007, she worked as Policy Specialist at the UNDP Country Office in Serbia, where she was the editor of the National Human Development Report and other publications. Prior to that she was engaged in the civil society sector, with the Italian Consortium for Solidarity (ICS), managing post conflict and local development projects, and she worked as tutor and researcher at the University of Bologna, Italy. She graduated with honors from the University of Bologna in political economy and has post-graduate studies in human rights and humanitarian interventions from the same institution.
