UNDP Networks

Global knowledge networks function as professional communities that provide basic services for members, helping them become a more valuable source of development knowledge and expertise. Please find below a list of related networks on human development within UNDP.

UNDP's Global Networks

Global thematic networks were established in 1999 in UNDP's thematic priority areas of work. To date, over 20 global practice or knowledge networks have been established across the organization with over 14,000 subscriptions.

Tunisia
Although there is no regional or country network working specifically on Human Development yet, UNDP Tunisia has created an informal network of Tunisian experts from the academic world specialized in this field and they are trying to mainstream HD in their academic works. Asia and the Pacific

AP-HDNet: Asia-Pacific Regional HDR Network
The UNDP Regional Centre in Colombo has established a network with the principal objective of engaging members in critical discussions on selected themes related to the Asia Pacific Human Development Report. Visit: http://www.undprcc.lk/RHDR_2007

Europe and the CIS

RBEC HD Network
This online forum hosts discussions on the theme of human development. Topics discussed include: HD, energy, national statistical data, and education. Visit: http://ws.undp.sk/human_development

Uzbekistan HD Network
This network seeks to enhance the skills and capacity of HD brokers in applying HD concepts and analysis. This network is divided into three projects that target academia, teachers, decision-makers, civil servants, journalists/mass media and young people. La Revista es una publicación on line de la Red Latinoamericana de Desarrollo Humano del PNUD.
